NIAC hosted the second day of the South Wales indoor championships on Sunday 11 January, and there was a great turnout!
It was a clean sweep for the “Dylans” in the U15B long jump event, with Dylan Holmes taking the gold (5.71m), Dylan Snare the silver (5.47m) and Dylan Dwight the bronze (4.69m) all achieving PBs in the process. Dylan Snare also took silver in the 60m hurdles, which was won by Ethan Stockwell of Bridgend Athletics.
The U15G and U13B 60m hurdle teams of Cardiff Archers filled the podiums in their events with Betsan Bradbury, Celyn Jones, and Evie Phlilips, and Gil Hanniford, Noah Dollman, and Eddie Simpson respectively taking medals.
Cardiff Athletics took the podium in both the U17M and U17W 60m events. Kaleem Islam winning gold, Uyiosa Dosomah second, and Oliver Shearer completing the trio. For the women, Ava-Lexie Placide, Abbi Beadle and Amelie Edwards won gold, silver and bronze respectively.
Cardiff Archers’ long jump coaches had a great day with a win in every age category they competed in with golds to Macsen Martin Hughes (U17M), Nina Siegle (17W), Dylan Holmes (U15B), and Noah Dollman (U13B).
We now look forward to supporting our junior and senior athletes who are competing in the Welsh Indoor Championships in the coming weeks.
