Congratulations to the South Wales team at the Caerphilly 10k which hosted the inter-regional team championships.
The men’s team of Andy Gardiner (San Domenico RC), Angelo Doria (Ogmore Phoenix), Jack Eggington (Cardiff Athletics), James Hansell (San Domenico RC), Luke Williams (Mickey Morris Racing Team), and Gethin Edwards (Pontypridd Roadents) grabbed a fantastic team victory for the region in a hard-fought battle to the line.
The women’s team of Aimee Ferguson (Aberdare Valley AAC), Catherine Barker (Penarth & Dinas Runners), Emma Seward (CDF Runners), Susannah Bulpin (San Domenico RC), Laura Mackie (Aberdare Valley AAC), and Olivia Tsim (Pontypridd Roadents) put in brilliant performances to finish second, led home by Olivia with a comprehensive individual win.
Some of the team also picked up age category prizes with Luke taking first place in the M35 category and Susannah who was the first F45.
A big thank you to the whole team who ran hard and did their region proud! Extra shoutouts to Gethin, Aimee and Susannah who were called up from the reserve list at very short notice.
